Student Chapel Service Order of Service 7:00 – 7:25 Praise & Worship – Praise & Worship Leader Specials – Praise & Worship Leader 7:25 - 7:40 Main Prayer – Service Leader Welcome guests – Preacher Offering & Prayer – Preacher Announcements – Preacher 7:40 - 8:10 Sermon – Preacher 8:10 – 8:30 Altar Call – Preacher Altar Prayer Ministry – Preacher & Prayer Ministers Our Vision The goal of the Student Chapel Service is to allow the students to get valuable practical experience performing many of the tasks that a minister must do to function effectively in his calling. Our hope is that the chapel will become a place of refreshing intimacy with God and a place where the Spiritual Gifts of the Lord can flow. Responsibilities: Preaching: Students will be required to give a 30 minute sermon, pray over the offering, make announcements, make an altar call and close the service. As the preacher you will be given overall supervision for the entire service including the direction it goes spiritually. If you have any questions or need help please contact the Ministry Track Dean: Pastor Joe Scott. Service Ministry: Students will be responsible for all physical aspects of the service. They include; set up and tear down of chairs, ushers and greeters, the collection, passing of the elements for communion, say the opening prayer and be available to support the Preacher when he requires it. If you have any questions or need help please contact the Ministry Track Dean: Pastor Joe Scott. Praise & Worship: Students will be asked to lead, participate and or oversee the worship team. They must pick out 5 songs that will make worship last 20-25 minutes. The Worship leader must submit to the preacher as he leads the congregation. The worship leader is responsible to provide background music during the main prayer and the altar call. The worship team must work out all technical aspects including sound and instruments or taped songs.
