Matriculation Guidelines

For the Transferring of

Life Credits, General Education Credits & Theology Credits

Life Credits, General Education Credits from a completed Non-biblical studies Degree and Theology Credits from other Universities, Colleges and Theological Schools may be awarded on discretion of the Executive Board of Spectrum School of Ministry (SSM). SSM issues earned degrees, and therefore require that 75% of a students total credits of any given year must be earned. The maximum amount of Matriculated Life Credits and General Education Credits that may be awarded is 25% of any degree. Theology Credits will be awarded from an accepted Bible College, upon review, as one for one as long as the Bible College fits the accepted accreditation criteria.

Rationale for LIFE CREDITS

1. Non-classroom Life learning experience should be equivalent to what is taught

in the classroom (degree work in terms of academic quality).

2. The learning should be publicly verifiable and demonstrate the learning a

students claims. The student must provide a contact person to verify hours.

3. Life Credits are awarded only for academic quality work which is defined as

hours spent teaching, preaching and the hours spent in preparation study to

teach and preach. Any other ministerial activity will not be accepted.

4. Credits will be awarded based on the hours spent in accepted activities. The

student is required to accurately state the total amount of hours applied.

Rationale for Transfer of GENERAL EDUCATION CREDITS

If a student has a complete degree from an accredited college or University, they may apply up to 25% of the degree to the SSM degree.

Rationale for Transfer of THEOLOGY CREDITS from BIBLE COLLEGE

Institution that is accredited through ACI, AMFED or U.S. Department of Education.

description list from the school’s catalogue.
